It’s definitely worse for us here in the midlands last night and today. After losing a field shelter back end of last year I’m grateful that the new field shelter has done its job and is still standing where it should be and have only lost a bit of fencing due to a tree coming down.

Last night was horrendous. Huge fir tree came down where cars are parked. Our cars had narrow escape but neighbours was crushed. Was moving stuff out conservatory 3am this morning cause thought was going but it’s still standing ?

Yesterday i was complaining to my husband that the fallen tree i was trying to clear was really dangerous, being balanced precariously on a gatepost, and pivoting in the wind. I kept retreating when the wind blew, as I wasn't sure if/when it might twist, and throw about 5 tonnes of oak through the air in my direction.

The good news is that after the wind last night, the heavy end is now 18ft from where it was yesterday, and going nowhere.

Seems just as bad as ever here. Big dollops of rain on top of wind. Bit of damage to the chicken run this morning that I've half fixed - the netting can wait till it's less crazy.

Well done daddyester and his best mate who put the new roof on today. Especially as he doesn’t really like the horses (pretty scared of them even though he’s had the same pair for 17 years and F is far too small to be intimidating)
I expect there will be some serious sleeping to be done tonight

A bridge over the river has gone in my parents' village! They said it was there on Sunday, gone Tuesday (it's a footbridge, not a car bridge). And the other, newer footbridge down river from it has been damaged.

We are getting a little low on passable bridges over the Severn atm. People in my town have been evacuated again as the temp flood defences on the one side of the river can't stand up to the water. And the river isn't supposed to peak until tomorrow afternoon ?.

Glad I live on a hill. Our barn had a door blown clean off the frame on Friday, but other than that we are fine (just wet, muddy and miserable).
