However they are really gorgeous little pups- and 12

No doubt they will all get homes :)

Poor little souls, 12 is quite a large litter, wonder if they are from 2 litters?:( The only positive I can think of is that it would seem the prats who bred these pups couldn't sell them as they had obviously intended so hopefully won't try again. Hope the bitch (es) are okay.

Yup, expensive to feed and no one wants to shell out for dogs these days, now that Staffs are going out of fashion - sorry, this is what happens when you breed for cash and cash alone these days....pity these wee sods and their mothers had to suffer to prove that point.

I hope staffies are going out of fashion. 4 or even 5 years ago, an unregistered staffie pup could still bring in £3-400. Now they can't even make £80. Thank GOD.

I really hope they can find good homes for them. However, even the pups struggle to find good homes. Battersea seems to nearly always have staffie x pups.

There was a lady just after Christmas in the local tack shop, had the cutest JRT in her arms. She said she had had him for 3 days and was trying to socialise him.

Had found him dumped in her recycling bin, in winter. Unable to get out. So very lucky for that little dog that she fell for him and he was straight off the vet for checking and she kept him.

The only saving grace is these puppies will likely all find homes due to the publicity (sp) so that is the one good thing to come out of this.

New figures out show that 68 Staffies a DAY killed in the UK because people still keeping breeding. 68 x 7 = 476 a WEEK. 476 x 52 = 24,572 DEAD STAFFIE AND STAFFIE CROSSES A YEAR. Something has got to change!!

Whoever dumped those poor puppies are sickos.

Just looked in my local paper and there are 124 Staffs for sale 300plus used to be common so hopefully the message is getting out there. The next popular was Labs at 72 so still a long way to go.

Where did you get those figures from? I would like to be able to reference those myself as well as passing them back to our local (overun) staffie welfare group but need to be able to give a source...

Poor little pups, just hope the mothers are ok :(

I do volunteer dog walking for an animal rescue centre, and the staffies they get in are all absolutely gorgeous! So much so that I brought a staffie cross home 4 months ago and she has brightened my life up so much :)

I bought a staffy x at the end of april from a kennels, i think he has been abandoned :( hes was only 4-5 months old. More fool his old owner because he is the most beautiful, mardest, sweetest dog any one will ever meet :p . every one that meets him loves him. really annoys me that they have got a bad name just because of idiotic people breeding them for the wrong reasons
