All summer I've worked towards this show ...

.. and Jerry has gone lame

I have had lessons, spent many hours schooling, bought new outfit, been to a couple of shows my friend organised all to work towards my first RC show this Sunday. Yesterday I tack Jerry up for his schooling session and my last practise of Prelim 14 before Sunday and I notice his knee is twice its usual size (a slight exaggeration maybe).
He is not really lame but not 100% sound either so have just rang to say I will not be attending.
To top it all, the weather forecast is good for the weekend. And I won't be riding

Frustrating is an understatement. Sorry for the self-pity but Jerry has never had any lameness in the 14 months I have had him but chooses this week to self-harm!

Part of me hoped it was cancelled! But when I rang to say I wasn't attending, he didn't say anything about it being cancelled. I might go and spectate instead though.

I'm sorry about your disappointment. I know how it feels. I was on the way to a big showing show which I'd qualified for and my bl**dy car engine blew up half way there. I was really upset and my daughter, who had qualified for another class, was in tears which made me feel even worse. I hope that Jerry is better soon.

Hopefully Jerry will be fit enough to enter a dr class at a local show on the last Sunday of the month! Just need to carry on with the hosing I guess and hope.
Looking on the bright side, at least I have got all the kit so I'm ready for my first attempt. New jacket, jods, leather gaitors - they'll all still be clean and pristine!
