It's a bit of a joke with a few people where I keep mine, that nearly everything I have for my lad is Bottl Green (and I try to match where possible
) . He looks lovely in green, so I just try and make sure he has a lot of it
.
Which is all well and good, except I've now got a green car. It wasn't planned to match him at all. It was just the car I really liked that happened to be green!
Nothing at all! I only use black stuff on my horse. Have a white dressage square and a nice grey/blue saddle cloth, but apart from that its pretty much all black!
Did have an entire hot pink travel set, rugs, boots, headcollar and leadrope etc. I thought it was going to be red, but he did look smart in it!! Its all navy now!

I had white plastic tendon boots - they don't make them any more but they were the biz!! LOL.

I saw some of them recently somewhere, did you have the ones with the sharks teeth motif on the back?
I went through a spell of having a white saddlecloth under a red fluffy numnah, because my uncle (who was my hero at the time, oh to be 8 again!) was an uber cool SJ bloke and thats what he did! He is still a SJ but not so cool!
A bright yellow headcollar which looked hideous but I still used it cos it cost me £10. It soon got dirty so I binned it.
When I was a kid and someone asked me if I wanted to go to there farm I was soooo pleased. I turned up ina pair of leggings cos I didn't have jodhs and a Tweed Hacking type jacket cos I thought it was the norm. lol I cringe now when I think about it. My friend must have been laughing so much.
Guilty as charged for following crimes;
*jw Ear veil (although it IS white so kinda blends into gee)
* clencher / diamante / PURPLE diamante browband
*jw saddlecloth and halfpad
*green poly pad that matches elastic on V
* black leather stud girth to match ^
* fluffy tendon / fetlock boots
*ventilated hat
I have a green zilco bridle for my girl when she's being naughty (second bridle with stronger bit) but I think my biggest faux pau was the ear things all the showjumpers wore. It was all the fashion, unfortunately I competed unaffiliate novie classes on my highland pony, the cool ear warmers just were not designed for highland pony ears or novice classes
I've just been through a very pink phase which I think I am now about to become very embarrassed about. I think there is only so much pink stuff you can wear at once.
And hey! wa's t' matter wi' ventilated hats and zilco bridles??
Hmph!
I'm clearly a hopeless case.
have been seen in bright yellow SJ ears too...
i was obsessed with matching, hence i had green jods and green knickers on when i had a riding accident some years ago and ended up in casualty embarrassed about my knickers. now its black or white all the way!
