All the queens horses jubilee - itv tonight

Just watching it on catch up, and everytime a singer comes on 6 year old daughter says ' whats that got to do with horses' ? LOL

Did enjoy Rolf Harris though, the cosacks were amazing :)

Before you guys all complain to ITV, just remember it actually went on for 3 hours, not the 90mins ITV have shown ;)

Once I got over the disappointment of it not just being horses, I quite enjoyed it, even the travelogue stuff.

Non-horsey OH on the grey fattie Shetland - 'is that a baby one?' (facepalm).

Re the frenchman and his horses, didnt someone similar die recently or have a bad accident?

I didn't see the tv show, but assume the Frenchman was Jean Francois Pignon? His brother, Mathieu Pignon, also a gifted horseman, died aged 29 in February I think. :(

I was dreadfully disappointed the horses were relegated to little bits between boring singers and dancers. The whole programme was not as I d hoped.
Also thought JF Pignon setting a bad example, training foals this young. let them be horses when they re babies!

they are chilean horses according to the programme! they are a native breed of iberian origin. i liked the look of them too. apparently they are quick but also willing and docile and hardy too. sounds ideal - think they would do well here!
