What skull cap to you wear?

For the last 4 years I have worn Charles Owen Showjumper XP but would really like a skull cap.

How does the Charles Owen Pro 2 fit?
Any other suggestions?

My local big shop were at a loss last time, and I ended up with another XP!
I'm willing to pay money & travel for fitting for one that will fit me properly!

Experiences, recommended shops & hats please. Local shop said they will get one in if I think it might be worth a shot :D

Ditto Champion. My skull cap is a Champion Euro my lightweight is a plastice Champion. I have a flat sided head and I have to stick to one of two brands. I just hate those "dial fit" hats too, they feel like they are just perched on my head and not safe at all :(

Another vote for Champion or Charles Owen. My first hats were Charles Owens, then after I broke my second one I searched everywhere for a hat that would fit. I tried every type, nowhere had Charles Owens, eventually found Champions, have had them since as they're so comfortable. They're all supposedly made from the same moulds according to my fitter, so any style should fit if one fits. (I've had 4 different styles).

I know exactly what you mean! Worse than a cycling helmet!

Thank you everyone, local store does have champions so I will make sure we give those a go! :D

I have a gatehouse HS1 which is great... so comfy. I think i had every hat in store tried on with all no goes. If they fitted width they were too long and then vice versa. The HS1 was the only one which fitted and it such a nice hat :-)

*Googles gatehouse HS1*
OOO I like it! I love the cream harness, it looks like my XP :D

Thanks!

No worries :-) it is such a lovely hat. I had a champion before but now had one of these will never change! SOOO comfy, forget its on and can wear it for hours :-)

Hmm I'm oval headed and cannot wear Champion hats at all, they seem to press into my forehead and be a bit loose at the sides. My friend is round headed and they fit her fine.

I have a fairly old Charles Owen Ventura hat (needs replacing soon) and that fits me really well, also have one of their older showjump ones and again, that is comfy.

Suppose you won't know until you try them on!

I've got an oval head and get on well with Champions, I have a Ventair Skull and Evolution and before that I had a traditional velvet style champion but like anything you just need to get to a shop and try alot on.
