Allan and Page Calm and Condition - Experiences?

I started using it when the feed ultra calm stopped it has been a godsend to me over the years, though I used to soak before feeding it because it expands. All my horses have done well on it :)

I have just put my 5 yr old TB gelding on it, we are into our 2nd week, i am giving him 3 feeds a day at present as he has dropped weight and after speaking to A & P at burghley, decided to give it a go, along with the alfa oil. He loves the feed and he is normally fussy!
I am still feeding magnitude with it, but he was on brewers yeast for calmness too, and to be honest he calmed down too much!
I can highly recommend brewers yeast for fizzy horses, but I have had to take him off this as along with the c & c he has become too calm!
havent seen much weight gain yet, but he is due to be weigh taped tomorrow so we will see!
also when I was at Burghley, a lovely girl called nicola said she will come out to my yard as she is local to me and give me a free weight tape and condition score session and a free bag of feed! so I must call her back and book that in! :-)

I have been feeding my mare C&C and I do also alternate and feed her the A&P veteran feed. She likes them both.
I feed my WB the A&P cereal and sugar intolerent feed, which is expensive, but really works for him.
I feed all of them carob kibble or locust bean, which is high in calcium but contains no sugar (used to sweeten diabetic chocolate).
Micronised linseed is good for weight gain.

my old boy (a TB) was the devil incarnate on it.....he was awful, am a little relived to find out that it wasn't my imagination.

we have one at the moment who is a real skinny minnie. He is TB, and completely different to any of the other big, good doing ISH we've had. He will always run up lighter than them, but certainly needs more condition. A and P have been really helpful, and he is now on three whopping feeds of C&C, plus fast fibre, daily. Behaviour spot on, no fizziness, and the weight is creeping on.

Can't comment on the Calm and Condition, but have used other feeds from them with great success!.......so much so that I am unsure of what to give them this winter so I have booked a free yard visit from them to discuss etc!

Maybe worth you ringing them and booking one for your horse?

I have used in on my old mare when i had her and it was ok at maintaining but didn't really add condition - had to go the outshine route and bare the consequences of excess energy.
I am now down to one arab gelding who is generally a good doer but has been on a strict diet so added the C+C to keep his condition up without too much fizz. Funnily enough he chose to eat C+C over speedi beet possibly as it has probiotics in it? - he's not on a high dose of it but its helped with his overall condition and no fizz - he's generally spooky brat arab gelding, very quirky so nice that he's not any worse!!

Mine has done so well off of this:

First winter no C&C:

Last winter, hunting every Saturday or team chasing with C&C:

It doesn't do much calming for mine but really keeps the condition on and we are using it on my new horse and it seems to be working for him too :) I use about half a scoop dry for both horses for morning and evening feeds, scoop of chaff and mix.
I started feeding it to him because he wouldn't eat anything else! but he looks fab now :)

I use C&C on all three of ours from the Section D,the 26 year old Arab and 16.2 WB to good effect and no fizzing up at all. Also lots of other people at the yard use it,again with no adverse reactions. It seems to suit all types including the usual poor doers such as tb's.A big thums up from me.
