hi anyone feed this is it any good? does a bag go along way?
have had all the info from them about this feed along with free sample and was wondering is it best fed on its own or with a bit of chaff its for a good doer
oh and how much should i give dry weight, allen and page said if i give full scoop then no extra vits and mins required
thanks

Mine loves it. Have fed it for about 2 years now. I feed it with alfa a lite. I don't feed half as much as they recommend though generally so it lasts me a long time. It swells up so much it makes a large feed.

my horse woudn't eat it to begn with, now cant get enough of it. the other horses hang over his wall and try and pick up the bucket by the handles to steal it!!!

i am looking for something that will fill her up a bit better she is good doer always hungry!!!! gets hay had to put her on shavings as she ate all her straw bed
she is a pure pig so want to fill her up a bit more without the calories and starch etc
she is only on evening feed gets hay morning and night but have to put hay on floor as she chews mega holes in nets overnight so as you can imagine the hay dont last long this way
she just a pig lol

last winter my older tb gelding (who is a fatty) survived on half a scoop with half a scoop of chaff and hay last winter and didn't lose an ounce (much to my annoyance) he was never hungry.

My mare has this and loves it. A&P advised me to give her 1kilo a day (dry weight) and this would contain all the vits and minerals she needs. I only give her half that as she's retired on grazing all year round and does very well on it. I just add a tiny handfull of chaff to mix it with.
