As above really. Does it tend to make horses more fizzy?

Have had my horse on Allen and pages veteran vitality and then fast fibre so know he will eat their feeds. Looking for something which will give him a bit extra now he competing more.

Like the soaked feeds as it disguises the supplements he has.

Should add he is 19yr old fit for his age ,though a good doer. Currently at a nice trim weight. Will be doing mainly dressage with the odd hunter trail etc.

I would tend to stick to what works but add some nice oats for extra vitality when he is competing.
I currently feed a pet scoop of Mare & Youngstock per day [added to my FF, linseed meal, and Dengie unmolassed chaff], as he needs just a little boost when in light work, it has extra vits and mins and I know it works for him, plus increases palatability.
It is easy to cut back if he has a few days off.

Can you not go back to the Veteran Vitality now your horse is working more. It has a similar calorie level to some competition feeds so should give him enough energy for the work you describe. (In fact, it actually has more energy (calories) than the hacking cubes - Veteran Vitality has 11 MJDE/kg and Hacking Cubes 10.5 MJDE/kg).
