I'm interested to see if anyone is currently using this ? , its saying its for lami horses with lower starch and protein than fast fibre .....

Any good or bad points ?
 
I've used it in the past for a horse that flat refused to eat Fast Fibre, I believe the sugar content is only 2% - but cant find the email from the A&P contact that sent it to me. However I believe that L Mix must be fed with a chaff, or if you'd rather Fast Fibre - not on its own. could be wrong though. the horse that refused to eat FF, would wolf a mix of L Mix and FF down no trouble. It also requires mixing with water in the same way as FF,
 
I believe L mix has 3.75% starch and 2% sugar, so very low for both. Had my boy on it for a while, looks like rabbit food, but he loved it. Found it a bit expensive though, costs more than fast fibre and its only a 15kg bag. Didn't feed with chaff, just well soaked.

Famous in our household as the one feed my Welsh cob refused to eat. I would get a sample before buying a bag and see if your horse likes it.

I'm thinking of trying my old mare on it as she is now cushings, the filly is doing ok on Fast Fibre, but Oldie is looking too well!
