Do you know if the P&P is similar in texture and taste (!) to the C&C? Ie a soaked feed that's mixed with chaff.

My picky mare has now decided that the C&C is the yumiiest grub ever so was thinking about putting her on this + AlfaA over the Winter and then switch to P&P in the Spring when I up her work but was wondering if the P&P is similar in the palatbility stakes as she's a fussy lass.

I am feeding my old boy power and performance to gain weight as he was fed up with calm and condition. The pellets are bigger that c&c, same size as pony nuts but the instructions are the same 1 scoop feed, 1 scoop chalf and 1 scoop water weight 8 - 10 minutes. I also feed ride and relax and that has the same instructions as the others.
 
A&P do give out free samples, get in touch with them so you can try before you buy - the lovely A&P rep who comes to us always asks if we need more samples to give out to customers, so your local feed merchants may already have some!
 
As far as I can tell it looks the same and has the same texture. Yogi thinks it is much nicer as he stopped eatting the calm and condition and when I spoke to A&P they told me to feed him the Power and performance and I now have empty bowls every day.

As Spot_the_risk has said, ring and ask for a sample and then you can try your horse on it without committing to a whole bag.

You mean you haven't tried it yourself?! Doesn't everyone sample their horses feed

Must admit I know people that do, and I've tried a couple myself, found the C&C quite gritty.

Seriously htough, that all sounds great, thanks guys. Think a call to A&P is in order and then a trip to my Feed Merchants.
