Hi, I am looking for some people’s thoughts and advice regarding using Allen and Paige soothe and gain feed. I m relatively new to owning a 10year old ex-racehorse, who is pretty chilled for an ex-racer. She is only in light work at moment and I am wanting to make sure she stays in good condition and doesn’t lose weight but I have heard different reports about this feed, some saying it is good for maintaining condition but others saying it makes a lot of horses too fizzy and excitable. What are peoples thoughts/experiences with it ?, thanks

Hello! I have a 4 year old ex racer that goes really nicely on it, he's rather skinny at the moment (ive only had him 2 months) so im finding this to be a good feed to add condition, doesn't make him fizzy at all but he is a very laid back horse anyway. im a big fan of this feed because it doesn't contain soya like a lot of the other feeds do which is good for ulcer prone horses which obviously is great for ex racers, ive also tried pink mash but found this wasn't helping him gain weight and he just didn't seem to be a fan so ive now switched back to s&g, hope this helps!
