Our four year old developed a really dry hacking cough about four weeks ago. No temperature and no rattling in the lungs - vet put her on antibiotics (?) and ventapullmin (sorry if spelling is wrong, but sure you know what I mean). I did ask if it could be an allergic reaction to pollen, as we have a lot of oil seed rape and willow shedding pollen? Apparently not. We've had her for two years on straw with no problems. I recently switched to shavings and now find that she only coughs when she is in her stable!! Could she be allergic to shavings??
