Hi All
i posted previously on this thread https://forums.horseandhound.co.uk/threads/fly-bite-or-something-else.819714/#post-14953757
however the reaction is still rumbling on 1 month later. it keeps going up and down even when he had a steriod jab and course of oral steriods. I went away over the weekend with the horse and took shavings with me and his skin was completely clear and within 24 hours of coming back he has flared up again. pic attached.
vet came out today and skin a skin sample and then we are going down the allergy route . i have moved him into a spare field on other side of yard to see if it makes a difference and 36 hours later there is a dramatic improvement. in his field i know i have a lot of crawling and meadow buttercups. they were sprayed and topped earlier this year to get the yellow/flowering buttercups but alot on the floor. my other thought was that it could be something in the hedge line.
If the field needs spraying is this the YOs cost to cover or mine?
