My welsh cob had what the vet called an asthmatic episode at the beginning of may.he had a course of ventipulmen and a trachea wash ( this came back that he had a reaction to something they couldn't distinguish between pollen or dust) he already has very very mild COPD which in 9 years has never caused us any problems.Any way he was given an inhaler and his breathing was fine once again.until this weekend he came in and i could hear a faint wheeze from him.apart form that he was completely fine in him self and his breathing rate wasn't increased.the only thing that has changed is the change in field. When his breathing got better he had also moved to the field next door.
does any one know of anything i can give him or help him out.
yesterday he was broncing around the field and didn't look like he was struggling though his nose was flared and he was snorting but he is very overweight at the moment sadly being turned out on good grass and being out of work pilled the weight on quicker than i could get it off him
im going to ring the vet later and ask for another inhaler as she suggested to help him out when hes wheezy
