Allowing horse to roll in school while others schooling ...!!??!!

well done to you for keeping a cool head. if i were you i would've gone insane i cannot stand this natural horsemanship stuff for one. if you're going to attempt it i say leave it to the professionals lol i know so many people who have ruined good horses through it argh!!!! it winds me up so much lol. and as for their actions, no excuses whatsoever, it is completely unacceptable not to mention dangerous. definitely complain

good luck x

Re. long lining/lungeing, if I was in there lunging first and somebody came to ride then they would come in at their peril, I certainly wouldn't stop.

ditto! I would warn them that she might kick though and that they pass her at their own risk.

I think that the NH people were being really rude and inconsiderate...trouble is these Parelli converts always have their heads in the clouds and think they're taking some sort of moral high ground with their methods.
I feel for you if you're the only 'traditional' person on your yard, this would drive me mad especially if the YO was NH as well, I'd consider leaving to be honest.

The rolling wouldn't bother me so much as the fannying about and taking up half the school. These things bug me, I might start a new post.

It wouldn't really bother me at all. When I'm riding my horse its job is to listen to me not to pay attention to other horses and what they are doing. It would annoy me if I didn't have enough room to school properly, but that is the problem with large yards and lots of users.

I think as others have said some ground rules need to be made with regards to use of the school

gawd!

My pony has started rolling on the lunge (even tried to in a pessoa) since shes been stabled 24/7 for winter time - its my own fault as i let her do it one day and now she keeps trying to - but i'd never just let her roll if someone else was in the school !!! apart from anything its dangerous for me and her, let alone the other horse/person.

I'd be really annoyed especially as mine is a bit highly strung and its hard to get her to concentrate as it is without horses rolling around everywhere!
