I am going to start one of my horses on aloe vera juice to try and help ease his gut discomfort. My other horse is on it at 120ml a day (60ml morning, 60ml evening) and this seems to work for him.

What kind of dosage rates do people use / recommend? What is written on my tub of aloe juice is different to what I can find online in terms of how much to give them a day.

I would start on the same dose as your other horse and see how he gets on. My horse has 50ml twice a day at the moment, I increase/decrease this depending on time of year/stress levels etc.

Aware this is a older post. Have been looking up Aloe Vera juice and gel and which is best, one rehabilitation centre uses the gel and have quite a interesting post with before/after scope pictures from using the gel.

Looks like gel is a lot more expensive, but can see why it would have a better affect. I've currently got my mare on 100ml twice a day of the juice.
