We had a great hack and then spent some time just grazing him in hand ( nothing exciting i know but just enjoy time with him)

I've mentioned this so many times today but I went for a ride on my own with a usually very nappy horse and had a fab time.

She was spookiest she's ever been since I got her but that makes it more special as she fought through it and hardly needed any encouragement from me, despite at one point being so scared she shook! (plastig bag by the way

). We went out onto the road and she was walking forwards without me having to nag all the way, such an improvement; still beaming from it

had a super ride round the Ockbrook charity ride. D was a star, so well behaved considering she was on her own, had perfect brakes, a cracking jump on her and no naughtiness. Only wish i could do something like that every weekend.

I woke up early in a tizzy, thinking it was Monday! Most of the way through breakfast, I realised my mistake, so I went back to bed...and slept until after 1pm!

After lunch (Hawaiian toast, yum), I went to the pony, and he did his poles, and then we hacked to the riding school for some schooling. His shoulder-in was so much better, I decided to ask for some in trot.

He seemed confused by that, though.

Back at the yard, I tried to tub his foot, but he kicked the bucket over after only a short while. I wasn't too worried, because we're almost done with that, anyway.

So, a slow, relaxed day!

Me me me!

Won our first ever jumping class (2ft) and 2nd in our second ever jumping class (2ft3). To top it off Genie loaded herself both ways, and was an absolute angel travelling and really listening when being ridden!

With our trophy and rosette!

Yep - great day here, just posted about it - but any excuse to post a photo of my lovely girl (1st in dressage, 5th in ridden coloured and 1st in ridden veteran (qualifying for championship class!)

Well done everyone else too!!

Well I hope all of you who had a great time at shows today took a couple of seconds to say 'thanks' to the organisers/helpers. We ran RC dressage today and virtually no-one bothered to say a word of thanks - just picked up their scoresheets and rosettes, looked at us as if we were invisible and off they went! Oh and a special mention for the lovely ladies who kept going on at us to let them see their scoresheets before the class was finished.
Ok rant over.

LeneHorse - thats aweful - Its slightly different for me, as my show was based on my yard, and organised by another of the yard members, but i always say thank you when i go to a show! especially today as the show is for Charity and for no gain for the organiser!
