not an reply so though i woudl try in here and see if any of you could eduacate me to how much you think he would be.

gelding,5 years old, 16'3 not done much looks sligthly placid in video of indoor jumping and then outdoor ( doing jumping in field look kind excited!) not done alot of jumping, it's a i.d cross something.

you really cant say with that info sorry. Ideally need pictures for confo and whats it like to hack/box/shoe/clip? How well schooled is it on the flat (imo very very important for jumping)? Any vices? It all depends really, why is he being sold? could you put a link to the advert? There are loads of other questions i would also asked but those i think cover the basics

from that i would say 2500 poss, hes nice but unproven and from the vid he looks like he has been jumped too soon imho, he doesnt look that well schooled but at the same time looks very honest (if you want a critical veiw sorry if you didnt!). And again imo he doesnt look right in his trot all the time, but then he is only 5 and schooling could help that

Are they open to vetting. The pics are rubbish they need one of him working on the flat, one of him standing square and from the side for a general confo pic to be able to give a more accurate estimate of the value of him

Sorry im feeling a bit grouchy, stupid weather and horse with a lack of water due to me not getting a big water bucket earlier (auto water frozen, but only in my bleeding block?!)

Don't worry about it i would probably be the same if i had a horse. cynical is what i wanted here. as i though it was a bit to much they are asking for. i don't no would have to ask. x
 
Yes, He is up for £3600 isn't he? A bit over priced IMHO. Especially without any exoerience. For that money, you can find something that is already out competing with prospect, rather than something so novice. Snowy is right - £2000 - 2500 is all i'd be willing to pay. Sorry, if that seems stingy - just hate being/ seeing people ripped off! For £3-4k I would be expecting more.
 
I think he is overpriced and just not that keen on him in general, being honest - not very balanced at all, esp to be jumping.
 
Hmmm difficult to tell from that! You would have to see him to know. Apart from the first pic the photos are pretty awful and do nothing to sell him. Ditto the video. He is very spooky in the indoor one - I think that is why the quality of his trot is not great at points but it may have been his first time indoors. Certainly not a video I would use if trying to sell a horse.

BUT I do think he looks a really nice type. At the moment from what they have been doing with him and those photos and videos then no I would not pay £3600 for him but I don't think it would take that much work to get him to a point where he is worth more than that if you were to buy him. He could be a really nice horse.
