Leg Yield - the horse is straight with a very slight neck flexion to the inside and moves sideways away from the riders leg.

Shoulder In - the horse is bent around the riders inside leg with the horses shoulders brought off the track to the inside so that the horse appears to move on three tracks. The horse moves forward but is bent away from the direction of the movement.

Half pass - the horse is bent around the riders leg and moves sideways and forwards bent in the direction of the movement. The inside hind leg passes across in front of the outside hind leg.

Only a very basic description.

You wont be asked to do any of these at prelim or intro level.
If you do prelim you will have to walk trot and canter. You will need to be able to do a 20m circle in canter. 20m trot circles. Some of the tests ask for 15m half circles in trot.
You will have to do free walk at some point and you may have to trot onto the centre line at the end so may need to practice 10m half circles. (not sure of all the tests)
All transitions can be progressive.
