My fly veil arrived today in the post and when I tried it on, it didn't seem to go all the way over my horse's ears. He's cob size in a bridle and headcollar, but I bought the full sized veil so I can't send back for a bigger one. Is there any way I could manually adjust it to fit my horse better or did I waste £12?

I would try a mandrel, that is to say find something a bit bigger. wash in warm water and try to make it bigger, you could stuff it with something as long as it won t stain, as newspaper would.

I had the same problem, USG fly veils are bigger than most and have nice stretchy ears, if you can't make your current one fit!
Amazon have a good choice of colours.

Which size would you recommend? They have a fantastic range, so I shall order one soon, thank you! There is full, or full-large and I really don't want to waste more money.. My boy is cob size in headcollars, but the veil I have now is full/horse size and too small so I'd be inclined to go for full-large.?

A perennial problem with me too. My highland is only 14.2 but takes full sized everything, and having a huge forelock that's another problem with fly veils. I ended up crocheting my own with a gap down the centre for the forelock, and making the ear cover parts out of an old T shirt. Not the answer you needed OP, but one solution ....

The one I have is full-large, it's nice and wide between the ears and plenty of room for my cob's hairy ears!
