I don't mean alternative like hippy :p but alternative to Frontline. Yellow Dog has fleas  and Frontline just doesn't work on him. It makes him itch even more than the fleas but thats it  I used to use Stronghold but the vet says it no longer does fleas :(

Im using well my dogs are using Prac-tic atm, its for fleas and ticks.

We have a lot of deer around here so Im very mindful of Lymes disease, found a tick on Darcy one morning and it was gone by the afternoon.

I hate the idea of putting chemicals on my dogs and wish there was a reliable alternative.

Thanks :)

CC - Im not sure he'd eat garlic, he'd the fussiest dog Ive ever met! Would human garlic tablets work? I could try him on some of my mums first :D

Dobiegirl - I havent heard of Prac-tic before. He's walked through deer woods nearly every day and he's forever picking up tics. Will check with the vet in case there's anything in it he's allergic to then order some :)
