If such a thing exists!!

For everyday wear I live in the above and given the use and abuse they get, for their fit and comfort, wouldn't wear much else.

However, I now find myself in need of some new comp breeches and given they only get used once, maybe twice a month I am struggling to justify the cost if there is a nice enough alternative...

Musts are:
* Breeches (not jods)
* Full seat
* Stretch (in FS aswell as rest of breech)
* Colour needs to be NOT cream/canary/white but more of a fawn/buff/beige (i.e.flattering ashy colours not yellow but suitable for comp if that makes sense??)
* Not rediculously low waisted (like some of the cheaper brands seem to end up) but equally not something that sits on my ribcage!

Possible? If so suggestions please.... :)

Will have a look. Out of interest how do they compare size wise to Cavallo and Pikeur (i.e. if normally a 26/28 in Cavallo do you know how MT compares?)

if you are concerned re cost have you looked on ebay for pickeur,cavallo etc?

i have recommended this e bay shop before as i have bought brand new cavallos from them 3 times and been very pleased with cost, delivery times and communication. classic dressage marbella, if you email her with what you want she may be able to help....

I'm also 26/28 borderline, and actually have both 26 and 28 in Mark Todd but the 28 are the better fitting and what I would always buy if buying new ones now. The 26s are an older pair and they are too tight on the waist really. I really like them and so far the everyday pairs are standing up to the wearing/washing. Mine were about £60.

I'm a huge pikeur/cavallo fan but brought some HV polo breeches a while ago and completely adore them. So comfy, so durable and gorgeous too! I even have a pair in the colour you describe and there were some on eBay of that colour a few days ago. But they don't come up very often.

I don't know if they are easily available in UK but I have a pair of Isabel Werth ones I got in a sale here in a colour you're describing for about 70 euros... I really like them and they wash well.

Has anyone got the Equitech rubber grip seat breeches. I have been looking on Exclusively Equestrian website and just seen these, they are very reasonable at £45 a pair but I am wondering if they would make the rider sweat rather a lot. What do you think?

Love the hv polo ones but the style I like are similar £££ to the cavallo etc (clearly I have expensive taste!!). Having looked at MT and Equetech I am tempted, may have to wait until Badminton and see what they are like in person but I think they may be the way to go.

Have been watching Ebay but unfortunately the colours/styles/sizes that I want seem to get snapped up and go for quite a few £££. Maybe I'll just bite the bullet and invest in one pair then get a second, cheaper pair as spares... Ho hum, roll on payday!

When i stained my nearly new Cavallo breeches in a fall I had to pick up what I could find locally in the right colour (I wanted pale creamy yellow for the show ring), and ended up going with this make 'rugged' which I've never heard of before.

They're very comfy, wash up really nicely and were a good price too. Not sure what other colours they'll come in, but would be worth checking out their range :)
