Alternative to flash

Hi,
Does anybody know of an alternative to a flash noseband? My girl has to be ridden in a pelham as she is so strong ... we are still working on it. However, she has started lolling her tongue out the side of her mouth and i dont feel i can use the flash with the pelham ..any alternatives?

Or you could try and work out why she is sticking her tongue out and try to rectify that (uncomfortable mouthpiece shape or teeth need doing?)

This. I personally hate flashes or grakles etc. - I see no sense in having to strap a horses mouth shut! There must be a reason behind why its sticking its tongue out, Id definately change the bit for a start as its most likely that (or teeth).
