For the people who feel they no longer wish to shop at Lush due to their choice of "charity" a member on another forum found this shop

http://www.moonstonesoap.co.uk/

Looks good, and seems to have very competative prices. Handy if you like the soaps etc as gifts, you don't have to go without, or give your money to a "charity" that you are uncomfortable with.

Who are lush chosing as a charity out of interest? I missed the post, always loved lush when i go on a rare occasion

Ooer... O_O

How are people that hunt cruel to the horses!? The hounds enjoy it, horses love it, and it's better than poisoning/shooting the foxes! At least the horses and dogs are well schooled/trained, are fit and healthy and aren't being ignored in a field!

Just don't buy the one product that is in support of the campaign!! As I said in the other thread - if we knew everything that went on in every company we buy from, we'd most likely never buy anything again!! I bet most people shop in supermarkets who continue to sell cheap meat and battery eggs.

I went onto the Lush website and they have a page devoted to their "charitable" giving - but not a single one of the causes is a charity. They are all political lobby groups eg Stop Bristol Airport Expansion, Stop Westbury Bypass. The use of the word charity is misleading and wrong. Is this an issue for Advertising Standards Authority?

I am very suprised about Lush - who exactly benifits from this so called charity ???

Thats an interesting name Muffinino !!!!

My horse was called muffin when I got her 7 years ago ! she has gone by manyother names since as everyone over the age of 30 insisted on calling her a mule !!!! Lady Muff, Muffter but we settled with Muffalina(the ballarina)
