My horses' coat seems to benefit from a splash of corn oil in his feed. I was wondering if he starts to pile on the weight over summer is there anything else I could replace it with? He gets about half a tablespoon with his lo-cal balancer and chaff, so not excessive at all.
Any thoughts appreciated!

Is half a tablespoon of oil going to make that much difference in the overall scheme of things?

Having nursed my previous horse with laminitis for 4 months - I'd rather be on the safe side.

I'll give the aloe vera a try then. Unfortunately my horse has naturally quite dry skin, so it should help - Thanks!
