If you want the fibre and not the sugar and your horse needs condition, then Speedibeet is by far a better substitute as it has a similar DE level to normal mollassed beet. Fast Fibre has a much lower DE and therefore is better if the horse is a good doer.
mine are all on Simple Systems and I have had no adverse reactions from any of them to the Pura Beet, and I have a mix of racers, competition horses and happy hackers. try using an unmollased beet - speedibeet is not bad but pura beet is totally unmollassed.

Fast Fibre is less calorific than unmollassed beet - Fast Fibre has only 8 MJDE/kg whereas Speedibeet has 12.4 MJDE kg, so if you are feeding for weight gain then you would have to feed a lot more Fast Fibre than Speedibeet to get the same amount of weight gain. On the other hand, if you just want something wet and sloppy to mix with your horse's feed then the calorie difference won't matter!
