alternatives for a breech bar

does anyone know what else you can use instead of a full length breech bar when travelling one horse without the partition.

i have a full length breast bar for the front but nothing for the back.

any ideas?

Personally I wouldn't go for anything but the real thing having heard horror stories about horses coming out of the back of trailers.
What make is your trailer? If its ifor, richardson etc they're really easy to get hold of.

I use a stall chain, cheap and works a treat!!

you need proper breech bar if not using partitions if its ifor try ebay sometimes you get them on there - if not ifor dealer think poss £40???

its a Richardson trailer. i took all the partitions out the other day and want to try travelling my bad loader without it.

You can buy richardson breech bars direct from the main richardson manufacturer but I think they come in pairs. You could always flog the spare one on ebay.
