Alternatives to magnesium based calmers

Anybody got any suggestions for alternatives to magnesium based calmers please? These seem to have the opposite effect and the horse has become a complete loony!

I know it's a bit of minefield and is all trial and error but I don't even know where to start looking really so some suggestions for me to look into would be really helpful.

Salt and Equinox Original helped mine, as did getting an aggressive loan pony so the antics of my own horse no longer faze me!
