alternatives to the dreaded cone of shame

Young Harry has an appointment with our vet tomorrow and I have ordered one of the soft inflatable collars to use rather the the cone. Is there a body suit available for a dog that will allow him to wee without removing it all the time or that can easily be folded back! Been quite a while since Ive had to think about this so sure there must be better things than the awful cone. I think whilst hes indoors I will fashion a babygro to fit somehow as a break from the cone but obvs will need to take that off for wee breaks

Yes we got a body suit from our vets. I don’t think it was a Dogease - it looked more shiny, but similar - and from what I remember it had presstuds so you could unfasten it and fold it back for toileting.

You can just cut a hole where you need it if it doesn’t allow for weeing (mines a bitch so not sure). They are a snug fit so don’t move around when on.

Thank you. The dogease would be perfect but wont arrive in time. However, watching the little video I have adapted a babygro to work, I can pop it on indoors to give him a rest from the inflatable collar and take it off for toilet breaks. The arms fit over his front legs and I can do a popper up either side of his tail. Ive got a couple left from my old girls last surgery so if they get soiled or dont work its no great loss, worth a try though

I bought some really good suits from Amazon for my tiny terrier bitch and they worked really well but can’t work out how dog suits work when boys have been neutered, my boy terrier didn’t even try and lick his wound so I didn’t have to use anything
