Any advice appreciated!
For the long version start here.........
I've had a Wow saddle since my horse was backed, I thought I was doing the best for him as it was so adjustable and would mean I wouldn't have to keep changing saddles. We've had quite a few yard moves and keep seem to be having breaks. Every time there is a break I seem to get the saddler back out (fitted end of 2022, he had the winter off then check 3/23, 12/23, 7/24, 10/24, 3/25). My instructor has never liked the saddle and has always said it slips to the right and rolls side to side and that he wants more stability. He had most of this December off, back into work Jan and Feb, went well then started to not want to go forwards into trot. Got the osteopath who says he was very crooked (had been having routine physio every 6 weeks to try and keep on top of issues but that obviously didn't work ) and bent to the right, this is a pattern he tends to have. Stopped riding in my saddle for about 3 weeks. Tried my instructors saddle (I think a Jeffries perflexion) which actually seemed to fit him pretty well and he went much nicer than in his own saddle. Got the saddler out and had a mammoth 2 hour fitting session. Went up 2 head plates, then up just one, changed girthing then changed to mark 2 (memory foam) panels. He only really started moving with the memory foam panels rather than the air ones. There is apparently still some air and that was adjusted a bit to account for my asymmetry, he then went slightly less well in it. I'm planning to get the osteopath again and considering a performance workup although he isn't obviously lame.

I rode tonight in the school in my newly adjusted saddle. It felt horrible, my horse wasn't going forwards, wasn't tracking up and just felt unhappy and I felt all over the place. I think I have fallen out of love with the saddle and lost faith in it, especially since my instructor video'd me using her saddle and he was trotting so much better in it. I wanted to rule out the saddle as causing any issues and I just don't feel like I have done that.
He is currently in a flat Y tree Wow with a continental seat. He is quite low withered, very broad, long backed, big shoulders. He's a Morgan so pretty rare over here. There aren't really any local saddlers that carry a lot of 2nd hand saddles to try so I am at a bit of a loss as to what to do.
Any recommendations??
Thanks.
