Hi all.
Had this pony a while now and she has always had them since before purchase.
The 'lumps' you can see along by her elbow joint, top of her raduis/forearm.
They are bone hard, completely painless, do not move etc.
Matching on both forelegs.
Can anyone tell me anything about them?
What they are, why she has them etc?
Of course, exact breeding is unknown, but she is pretty fine boned & still growing.
Hoping to show her next month, would they be considered a blemish etc?
Knowledge greatfully received!

I sure I remember a thread about the same or very similar on a horse a few years back, also a youngster. It was something to do with overenthusiastic bone growth, but not serious. I would try and find it but a search on bony lumps will bring up thousands of threads.

What does your vet say?
To be honest, when she had her jabs, typically I forgot to ask about them!
I am in no way concerned about them and won't pay for a vet visit for it, but am genuinely curious about them, that they are perfectly matching, I guess it's something she was born with?
I literally have no idea, hence asking, there is a lot of experience on this forum.

That is exactly what happened ycbm!
And none seemed relevant, mostly arthritic changes etc, but I'm pretty sure it's not that!
Well, hoping muchly, that would be a disaster!

I found one from 2007 where the problem is clearly identical, except that there is pain, but nobody answered it so that's no use to you.

I remember the thread, the lumps were where yours are, bigger if I remember right, and because they were cold and hard and the horse was sound the vet was unconcerned.

ETA the fact it's on both legs is a really good sign.

Amazing find, thankyou.
But interesting it's much less common than I originally thought!
