...and look what I ended up with! I adore her. I'm quietly confident that she's going to be with me for life :)

Her Thorn saddle pad is due to arrive on Wednesday, really excited to get out and about on her. She's still green but got the basics, fab paces and a good jump. Currently in the middle of trying to arrange further schooling for her and also lessons for myself with the same lady.

I'm so blinking excited and I know I'll have lots of fun with her!

So clean! She's looks lovely. :)

If you go on your photobucket library page and click the cog symbol on the top right, a list of settings should come up. Uncheck the box that's called 'link back to album' or something similar. :)

She's lovely! And so clean! How long did it take for her to be less clean? :P

I said exactly the same (in fact it was only one of a few things I had an opinion on)... so guess what colour my gelding is?

Hope you have lots of fun together

Lol, a day in the field? Well I've had her for about 10 days now, I'll take a pic of her this evening and you can see the difference ;) plus a cut and kick marks, grrrrrr. Luckily it's only a minor cut, nothing serious and is healing well. X

She's beautiful. Take it from someone who knows. Cover her from nose to tail in winter - snuggy hoods, tailbags, pig oil, the lot.....and even then you have to embrace the mud and yellow stains.

Yep, I said and did the exact same thing. She does look fab and sparkly in that photo. I'm told ketchup is the new Daz/Persil etc., although so far I think the key is to have a very relaxed view about the odd stain and only get a cloth out when heading out into company !! Although I am not looking forward to the winter and all that mud :(

Wow - she is stunning!

She'll look gorgeous in a nice thick hunter bridle.

I've bought her a Sabre Eton which looks beautiful on her and swapped from a full cheek bit to a snaffle, looks gorgeous and very smart :)

Annagain - that's hilarious!!!!! I'll definitely be following your advice, I doubt we'll be ready to hunt this year but we will be next session for sure and I'll want her sparkly white with a beautiful running plait in <3 defo need to start practising that.

Apparently the blue fairy liquid is good too :) A girl on our yard yard ketchup on her mares tail and it left a pink tinge!! Maybe it was a cheap brand and I'll splurge and try Heinz ;) I've heard loads of positive stuff about it so will give it a go.

Already learnt the hard way that cheapo pink headcollars aren't a good choice for greys, she's still got faint pink marks on her from where the colour ran, lol.

I use CDM canter coat whitener, Supreme Products Blue Rinse and Supreme Products Blue Shampoo, they are brilliant for getting whites bright white :)

Oh fab, I'll give them a go! Her tail is quite yellow so I want to sort that and then get into a routine of washing it at least weekly.

Out of curiosity - what weight do you think she could carry, maybe base it on a slow hack rather than heavy schooling. I'm on a diet but feel huge on her, she's only 13hh and really does take up the leg but my last horse was a 15.2 tank of a cob! Probably just being paranoid and just need some time to adjust to get being smaller.

What a stunner, that's not even a "kind" grey with dark legs or mane/tail , that's a very white grey! .. my sympathies ;) as the owner of a coloured and three greys!

get some 40p tesco shampoo and mix purple spray in for a cheap and very effective purple shampoo! works brilliant on my horses. Ketchup did nothing.

She is super brilliant white :D wow, I love horses/ponies like this :)

Great video, love the tip about keeping the top section out! Did your horses seem bothered by having the bag on?

She's a highland x. I'm guessing crossed with a traditional and maybe even a sec b...will look into her breeding when I get chance! Sometimes her head is very highland like but other times it seems finer and 'prettier' :)
