have a question...when i go out hacking with my friend her pony has taken to stopping for a wee nearly every 10-15 mins,he doesnt strain, it is a champagne colour not frothy,does'nt smell and it is only when he is out we have watched him in his field and there is nothing abnormal at all-drinks normally and not excessive and doesnt wee like when he is out.
he does have a retained testical so was wondering wether it is just a territory thing as my horse is a gelding thought maybe he was telling him that he owns the place? or is it a nerve thing as the little pony has not been out for a while-everything else about him is spot on though and he doesnt act in a panicky way or show any other signs of worry.
find it very strange hope someone can help?

Does he always do a wee? Or is it only a bit and sometimes not at all?
I ask these questions because a pony at my old yard used to do this and the vet treated him for a urine infection first time round. It seemed to stop the behaviour for a while but it started again.
This time when the vet came, he sedated the pony and examined the penis and found a "bean" tucked in the end which some geldings seem to suffer from.

oh thankyou,yes he does always wee-properly not just a sprinkle-there is no straining or any weird signs really he is fit as a fiddle. it is very mind boggling.i shall pass the relevant details on thankyou again all.
