Took my rising 5yo for some further education today with a very good S.J. rider. She has been coming on really well, has always jumped whats in front of her and never refused anything! Well she started schooling her, criticising the way she was going but the mare was getting very tense and unhappy so spoiling her work if you know what i mean, she started jumping her but she was a little headstrong but i personally felt it was because she looked nervous, she warmed up and we then put a reasonable sized parellell up, which she has never jumped height wise before and she didnt jump it very well, almost looked surprised at size of fence, trainer then went on to say she was gutless... she finished off on a resonable note, but i feel realy dissapointed and almost wish i hadnt taken her now as she has been going well, i really hope this isnt right, as she has never given me the feeling of being gutless... sorry to go on but feel very dissapointed, she is there for another few days so i hope she improves.
