Am I being over cautious ?!!!!

I posted the other day on discharge from my horses sheath , vets are booked to come out as he is very difficult to get near and kicks out so feel best to get done under sedation , there was discharge on his belly and legs which I have washed off and no further discharge has been seen , am I being over cautious on calling vets in to sedate ? X

Better to be safe not sorry. If you feel he needs sedating, go for it. You know your horse better than anybody. If he was mine and he may kick out, i'd opt for sedation too.

I used to get someone to hold my horses front leg up so I could clean his sheath, if that hadn't worked I'd have had him sedated. Like Parachute says, better safe than sorry!

Didn't read your other thread but if there's a discharge I'd get the vet to sedate and have a look.
