Also wheres the best places to look without getting ripped off?!
Thanks

If you're happy to take an older horse, that should be fine. But anything safe, sane and sound and under 15 is likely to be more if its a been there done that type

nope not unreasonable at all , I bought a 15hh horse who was a cracker , he was 13 and did everything from xc to sj to abit of dressage , Bought him for 1700

horsequest, local newspapers , horsemart .

Good luck xx

Depends what kind of level tbh. If you want something that can compete at low affiliated level - say 3ft-3ft3 ish SJ/XC, and prelim/novice dressage, then you'll be looking at £2500 upwards depending on the age and ability.

However if you look for something aged 14 and up, and who isn't PC team material you could find something in your budget.

I think it depends where in the country you are. Apart from oldies, you don't seem to be able to get anything safe for less than £2500 round here

Give yourself plenty of time.............
Buy locally!
Put up some 'Wanted Adverts' in your local tack shops/feed merchants/livery yards stating exactly what you are looking for. Ask local instructors, farriers and vets to keep an eye out for you.
The advantage of buying loocally is that people will know it's true character and medical history and you are less likely to be done.
