I have posted a thread like this before...BUT..is 4ft 11 and 89 lb too big for a 13.3h 16 (almost) year old New Forest Pony? Thanks, honest replies only please!

Not at all! I'm 5ft7(ish) and weigh between 10/11st, I was schooling a shetland for a friend until the end of summer and he carried me no bother, jumping 2ft6 with ease

Will add now before anyone jumps and gives abuse, I only rode him because he was her 4 year old daughters leadrein pony and he was a little ***** off the lead so had to do something about it for her, and the jumping was only one or 2, and only at the 2ft6 once to see if he could.

I think you know the answer to this yourself!
I'm 5"6 nearly 5"7 and used to ride a 13.1 NF with no problems.

Yes being silly my 13.1 has been ridden by a 5ft10, ten stone rider on a regular basis and she was very happy about doing so is being ridden by a 5ft6 rider regularly now and loves it and is very happy as she is doing something she is 18 so no spring chicken, teaching another rider to ride and is in her element

I'm 5'6'', weigh 10stone and my boy is 13.3hh (though a chunky cob). I too get paranoid though - I think my legs are longer than his!

Yep, you're paranoid!! I am 58, 5ft tall (or small) and I am about to recycle one of my daughters ponies for me! A 13.2 Welsh C.
On the other hand, one of my daughters is 4ft 11, about six stone soaking wet and is a mounted officer in the met. She rides a 17.2 (and can get on from the ground). Thats gutsy !
