Am I being totally paranoid or is something not quite right...

Goodness gracious me! Pop down the yard for a few hours and things go crazy! I wasn't for a second suggesting the photo was 'dodgey', just that something looked a bit weird about it and I couldn't put my finger on it! One thing I wondered is if the horse/rider and jump had been superimposed on a different background or something. If it is taken with an 'HD' camera, maybe that explains it as I have no experience with those. Pony is indeed super and I would be going to look at it, if it was closer. Hope all the extra advertising does indeed help said pony find a good home!

but you were right, it was weird, its not the same as the original anyway, so not a HD camera but something going awry somewhere :)

what actually made me think it was prob real was that the rider seemed to be putting in lots of effort too in comparison to the other pics :)

I personally think:

1. Looks photoshopped (his front legs look like the would have knocked the pole down were it real
2. In the other photos he is very much clearing the jumps, which seem to be of a similar height.
3. Taken together, all photo's show he is a good jumper.
4. That photo is the only one that looks photoshopped and the jump looks all shiney and new, I think that they probably just did it to produce a good picture, but essentially the horse seems like it can do that height.

Agree, the 2 pictures do look completely different and do not appear just to be sequential shots over the same jump, it also looks very much like the pony would have knocked pole on the ad picture...however, really nice pony and looks a really good sort - certainly has a nice jump no matter what.
As far as I'm aware, no one has said that the picture HAS DEFINITELY been photoshopped - this is a discussion, which is what happens on a forum, so I don't see anything wrong with that....the owner has got a bit more advertising from the thread too!
(fwiw - rider looks very competent too!)

Relax - I think this looks perfectly genuine. Do loads of photoshopping - check out the shadows and lights on the pole under the pony -they match it- these would have taken ages to do and you'd need to pretty much be a pro to think of them. Also have seen plenty of horses/ponies who just clear the pole like this if pic taken from this low angle.

I was the photographer who took the photo and I can assure you that it has not been "Photoshopped" in any way. I am not a Professional Photographer, I was 30 years ago, I just take photos to relieve the boredom while my wife is jumping!

I am realy quite shocked that people are allowed to do this.
O.K. discuss what you think of a pony/add, but in this way i find quite odd.
Are some people so bored they have to search for something to be nasty about?
This is not aimed at the op by the way as she did explain her view and was not out to tear someone apart.
I am all for discussion but to find adds to tear apart and make things up about is beyond me.
