Am I cheap ?

No I think the same!

I just bought a pair in a sale (under £30) and actually I much prefer riding in my worn out jeggings anyway so glad I didn't pay full price!

I just bought the Dublin Cool-It gel tights for a little under this price.

I have the winter version and I love them and I've worn them for two winters. They are my got to option for cold weather. I've easily worn them 100+ times so the cost per use ratio is great.

I have a pair of £10 Horze breeches I've worn twice, just don't like the feel when riding...

For me I prefer to invest in one or two key staples and spend a little more for them then take care of then through their long life.

Yes, so much so I don’t buy them lol. You can get a nice pair of running/gymnastics leggings that are more or less the same for a fraction of the price. Obviously minus the silicone grips but I’m not too bothered about those.

I would pay probably £60ish for a decent pair of riding leggings with silicone, phone pocket etc. But no way would I pay over £100 for a pair of breeches

I go down the Primani route! I wear skinny jeans to ride in. Never been a fan of jods or leggings or the likes. I only put on jods when showing and I have an amazing array of varying colours from beige to stone through to canary depending on the seasons trend.

I looked at these, but couldn’t work out the sizes. They say size 8 is small, and if between sizes go up a size. That seems wrong to me, means their largest (XL) is 16. So for 12/14 I’d need large - how did you find the sizing RT?

I’d say they were about right and agree to go up if in between. I’m a waist 24, size 6 and got an xs and they fit perfectly, they’re the only leggings I have that don’t gape at my waist but can still comfortably get over my hips and thighs.

Noble Equestrian £35 a month or so ago. I am usually too tight to buy anything but I was pleased with my last pair (which were more like £50) and you've got to have clothes, right?

I go up and down Between 6/8 depending on how much exercise I’m doing haha and I’m about an 8 at the moment but I went with an XS as I like a more snug fit and they fit me well!

Decathlon is your friend for cheap riding tights.

However, I am lucky that I live near RB Equestrian, near Milton Keynes and they have very well priced jodhpurs/breeches/riding tights and an excellent sale rail. They do mail order too.

Decathlon fourganza for around 19.99 jodhpurs but more like riding tights with grippy knees, the most comfortable ones I own, very lightweight for summer riding and at that price you don't mind if they don't last years

I got a couple of pairs of Requisite Lightweight jods from Sports Direct/House of Fraser last week. They are great - both fit me really well (and I have difficulty with this being 6ft with a small waist!) and the navy pair are really lightweight with two pockets and nice Lycra bits around the ankles.
They were £12.99 per pair - absolute bargain!

I usually just ride in my scruffy leggings (non horsey) - much cheaper. Unless its cold, then I'll wear jodpurs. I was looking at old pictures yesterday and my 'new' jodpurs (bought second hand from ebay) are 4 years old!! So I must be cheap too!

I am a bit tight with things but bought some from Horze the other month. They have a whole in after a few wears and have gone awfully baggy at the knees which is really weird.

I did ask on BD yesterday about any for under £50 and someone suggested GS Equestrian have some for £20 that have a phone pocket so I have ordered a pair whilst I am still trying to loose some more weight.

I used to agree with you but saw Flexars advertised and really liked the look of them so I treated myself to a pair for my birthday last year, which is very out of character for me as they're £50. I LOVE them. They're really high waisted so don't move an inch when you're riding and they're so comfy. In terms of cost per wear they're probably the best value riding item I've bought. It's a good job they wash so well and dry so quickly as I wear them nearly every day. On the occasions I've forgotten to get them out of the machine so they're still wet, I've worn my previous favourites (Aldi cheapies) and can't believe I ever put up with them before. I haven't bought another pair yet but I will soon.

I do love my Noble Outfitters tights. But I wait until they're £35 in a sale. To be honest I very rarely buy anything full price because a) I don't have enough money, and b) anything with "horse" or "riding" on it generally has the price inflated already.

Funnily enough these are on my list but I wanted to get down to a better weight before spending out on them. Glad to hear a good review though :)

I agree! I bought a second hand pair off a friend and although they are the higher end price wise, Flexars are really comfortable and very well made!

My kingsland ones are much more than that but worth every penny, i have 5 pairs and live in them. nice high secure waist, and a silicon seat to aid grip.

they wear and wash like iron. the cheaper ones just dont compare IMO
