I have a 16.1hh tb ex-racehorse mare at home who I have been competing and doing a bit of everything with.
I recently found an advert, selling a 16.3hh Warmblood and I have fallen in love with it. The reason for sale is that it has grown too big for its owner. So I have contemplated ringing her up and seeing if she would accept a swap. Is this rude and silly?
I was thinking of selling my horse at the beginning of next year anyway, so I am not trying to get rid of her!!!

Thank you

no harm in trying, as long as you acknowledge it could be rude (eg 'i hope you don't think i'm rude for asking')

oh, and don't do it via text...

when i was selling my cob, i was offered a naughty pony as a swap.......i wasn't at all offended but didn't accept the offer!

An old livery at our yard use to do this on a regular basis, so I think you should go for it! Worst she can say is no, and perhaps you could go try her horse and if you like her/him, sell your horse in the meanwhile.... unless you can afford an extra one for the short term! xx
