I moved to my current yard over a year ago (May 06 to be precise). The stable i was given had rubber matting in it.
I asked the YO if they wanted any money for this as it was one of a handful that had matting. No was the answer and so happily have had it till now.
I go up the yard yesterday to find my box mucked out! Odd i thought but didnt investigate and went off to get my mare in. Whilst tacking up i hear the liveries talking about a note the YO has put up about people returning her rubber matting, as their had been some spar left on the yard that had gone we all assumed we meant that.
After riding i put my mare in her box to find that the matting i had is GONE! YO had mucked out my box removed all matting and put bed back down!!!! No mention of this when i had earlier seen her!
Am i being unreasonable to want this back as ive had it for over a year! We all suspected that they were having a few money probs as rent has gone up with nothing extra added and all her horses are now on straw instead of shavings.
Now im going to have to source new rubber matting before the winter as my girly knocks herself quite a bit in her box.
Is this reasonable behaviour or am i going mad?????
