Am I imagining things?

We've had snow on the ground for a week and my pony has been refusing to stay in her paddock. Last night we had heavy rain which cleared the last of the snow and I swear I could see NEW GRASS coming through the old tussocks. Pony seemed happy to stay out munching too so there must have been something there to satisfy her taste buds.
Roll on spring
(Then pony will break out of paddock to reach the really nice grass...sigh)

Mine have had a nibble of grass all winter.

Oh we still have grass in the field but its old and (according to my pony) booooring.
This is fresh new stuff pushing through.

Grass never stopped, here. Out This morning I saw some bracken too and realised that this hasn't died back, either! Still got some nettles, too.
