Or just barking mad???!!!

This one is on loan from our instructor. A lovely grey mare who has a good pop in her :D.

D1 is very chuffed that instructor thinks she is good enough to ride and BS one of her horses, especially a home bred one like this girl is :D. It's so lovely to see a smile on her face :D. I know she's still hurting about Little Cob; I said that if she didn't want to do anything on any other horse then that was fine, I don't mind (would be sad as I know she would miss it, but it would be her choice); I asked if she would rather stay at home and be sad and be upset that she couldn't do all those things on LC, or if she would rather be out there doing them, just on a different horse. She chose the latter.

So, Grey Mare is coming a week on Monday for a couple of weeks trial, see how they get on :D. She's been out of work for a while so no serious jumping 'till after Christmas.

Piccies are from them trying each other out a couple of days ago :D. She was feeling a little fresh lol. Once she is back in work she works very nicely, so D1 will get to learn a lot and have a lot of fun I hope :D :D :D

Yes but all the best people are a bit nuts ;)

I posted a thread tonight when i suddenly relised that I do actually have 3 horses now.

Gotta love it tho :D

Aww she must be well chuffed!! M is a lovely mare, ive always liked her im sure they will have a ball together and it will be a great experience for her to ride and compete such an established mare, there will be no stopping her now D1 will BS in no time!!

She is so pretty. How exciting. Is that a big grin I see on D1's face whilst pony is being a bit frisky. Hard to tell as her hat is in the way but it certainly looks that way :) You do have the prettiest girl horsies!

Nice looking horse, hope D1 has lots and lots of fun. Teenagers like to keep cool but its so lovely to see that smile creep back over their faces again - like they did when they were 7 or 8.

And more thank yous :D :D :D

Yes, there was a massive grin just about all the way round :D. Giggling and cackling like an old witch lol. So good to see :D

Horsey was a bit frisky, which just made D1 cackle a bit more lol.

JS - thank you :D

MM - oh yes, that smile is worth it all :D

It all happened very quickly! I didn't know if we could keep a fourth horse (four blinking horses!!! I must be bonkers lol) at the yard, but the YO said yes, happy to give it a go and see how the land holds up :). We have two fatties/potentially fatties and two that can be out on good grazing, so fingers crossed it all works out :D

I do like a grey mare!!! How exciting, sounds like a great move and lots of fun to be had, when will you be back in the saddle Mrs M? I' looking again now, although not sure how strong the gammy leg is but heh, the exercise will surely do it good?? We're all mad out here, but I believe one life, live it. Good luck with the new arrival, she is beautiful, well done D1

Lying in bed and feeling rough today, but at least it gives me time to answer all :D

T - I hope she does :D. PC and BS and some BD and maybe a ODE, any other acronym we can find lol :D

MD - no, though she looks very much like it! D1 has already said she would like to keep the mane :D. She is, if I remember right, an IDxTB...., but I might have got that wrong :rolleyes:. I will check :D

H - yes, she does, poor lass . The thing is, her sister takes after her Dad, but D1 is like D in character, and D2 is like me in character. Very confusing! :D Oh, and I used to be as skinny as D1! In fact skinnier!:rolleyes:

M - not some nasty diesease or an argument with a door - black nail varnish . I have banned both daughters from wearing it until they learn what nail varnish remover is for!:p:rolleyes::D

AB - you are more than welcome hunny :D. I'll text you in a while, see when's good for you :D

GM - indeed, a grey mare is the way to go ;):D. I don't know when I can get back on yet :(. I see the consultant this coming Wednesday, so maybe he will tell me then (he wouldn't give me an answer at the last meeting). How is the leg doing? Yes, definately live life :D

Thank you all. Just to see the smile on D1's face :D :D :D. And D2 thinks she is beautiful and will be good to photograph; both she and D are looking forward to when D1 and GM (horse, not poster lol) are out and about and doing :D

possibly both Mrs M, but that looks a good pairing, and that grin (and those cackles) just say it all.:D

Looking forward to the updates and piccies:D

Great news! They look really good together! I know that for some people it's better to take a little break after a partnership ends, but for me it's better to get going again and although I know the grey mare won't fill the gap LC left, I hope that in time D1 enjoys her as much.

Thank you :D

The cackling goes on lol

She has had some time off, but not long. She seems happy now though :D

Yup, some important life lessons. Hopefully learnt :D

We went to see Grey Mare today. She came when we called :D :D
