I am thinking about advertising locally for a horse/pony for my daughter to ride/compete on over the summer. She is only novice level show jumping x country so would be looking for a confidence giving sort. I don't want to loan to keep at home as i don't have room for anymore (mine are too young/old/small for her) Our 3 year old will hopefully come in for her next year once broken and schooled. So just to use the pony from the owners home. I was hoping someone would have a pony wasted in the field that would love to get out and about. I am willing to pay but not riding school money. Do you think anyone would go for that sort of arrangement?

Yes :D i have a young girl who rides my old boy (he's teaching her so much) and she will be out with him this summer doing a bit of everything , she pays me £20 per week towards his keep and i do all the mucking out (she would do it but i get there first ) i love seeing the old boy having so much fun and as we are about to buy a 3 horse lorry there will be space for him to come along to shows :)

Absolutely - there are loads of people who have horses they can't/don't want to sell for all sorts of reasons, but can't ride or want a sharer.

Go for it. Talk to people at the Pony Club as well.

Yes, my 14.2 has been 'lent' to a few people to ride/ compete but I wouldn't want her moving. If she was a few years younger I'd be offering, sure theres plenty of others too.
