Am I missing something?

My old racemaster had a payload of 1200kgs, very well built and safe.

It's worth saying that although Bloomfields generally have a smaller payload than you would expect they do have an option of lighter weight German panels so it is possible some professionals out there on the lighter chassis with those panels may have a payload of around 1.2 tons.

100kg is two of me or three bales of good hay. Which is nothing, essentially, to take you to beyond what is safe or advisable. At full capacity you are legal, but have no wriggle room for anything other than flat roads with little traffic IMO.
100kg is one of me :p I don't think I was implying it was a lot? It is just a quotable/defined figure so I just wondered where Peter got his definitive info from. Unfortunately he hasn't come back to clarify.

New racemasters seem to be the same ESW and many others.

There are plenty of 3.5 tons built now with modern lighter but strong materials that would carry two 600kg horses and a driver. The payload on mine is over that and I have a long wheelbase with living on the back.
.
I’d be so grateful if you could tell me the make and model your box as i would very interested in purchasing one to transport my 2?
