I recently had my mare back shoes off due to the fact shes not been in much work. She not got bad feet but seems a little foot sore now, its been nearly 6 weeks as farrier is out this satuarday but cant decided wether to put them back on or not???
BUT, there are issues.
Not sure if u read my last post but shes got what looks like a windgall injury on off-hind leg. Also not sure if have shoes off has caused this, but shes also one to gallop around field on solid/frozen/slippery ground, so who's to know i guess?!!!!!
I Did have vet out too as was a little concerned as swelling didint really go down and wasn't tracking up as she normally does. Vet said nothing to worrie about, shes prob twisted it out in field and slipped (as shes not keen on me touching her thigh neither). I have ridden her but still doesn't seem 100% not sure if this is bcos shes footsore or bcos of injury
.
I have farrier out sat, and physio Tue if nothing found i will prob get vet back out to scan or something. I was at ease earlier on but i googled it and so many simular cases came up like this and turned out to be something a lot more serious.
