Lame pony appears to be sound pony following a change in environment (been sent to boot camp as mri showed very little wrong & I was the only person having any problems with her! So vets are of the opinion to crack on and so this is what we're doing) and I have been persuaded (well, told) I am going to be taking her dressage-ing over summer. It's only local and baby walk & trot test but reading the test and drawing it out on my white board(!) this test doesn't seem to make sense.

Essentially you do the test up until the part where at 'M' pick up working trot and at 'A' do a 3 loop serpentine finishing at 'C'. They then want you to change the rein 'M-X-K'. However you are going the wrong way round the school to change the rein in that direction, it would seem to make more sense to change the rein 'H-X-F' :s
Typo on their part, me being thick, or just a strange test? Can't really seem to find a helpful number on their website to ring. Logic dictates to change the rein from H not M but don't want to assume.

To me I get confused at bit 5-6, that's a long way round before changing the rein if you're picking up medium walk at M then walking round the whole way and doing a very tight turn to change the rein at FXH, unless I'm reading it wrong as well?

But these numbers and e-mail address look like they may help!

Actually ignore me - I got my left and right wrong. It reads correctly when I draw it in lots of different colours!

The way I read it is start serpentine at A so you are on the right rein at this point. So start your 3 loop serpentine finishing at C. You are still on the right rein. Then change the rein MXF.

Thankyou, it is me being blonde - I had crossed over lines on my diagram and double looped! It does make sense when you do it properly ;) Never mind the pony being ready, she might need a better jockey- one with a sat nav maybe! Thanks all.
