Yeah there's plenty around Potters Bar, but as I have no car and my mum has forbidden me from cycling in London (I know...) most yards round that way are gonna be over an hour and a half via public transport/walking. Which is why ideally I want to find her a loan home back home, I just don't think 3 hours there and back twice a day is really gonna be feasible.

As for the family back-up part, my family are far from loaded - I saved up for Bonnie myself when I was 13. Had her on a loan type arrangement whilst I saved the £1000 to buy her, then worked 20 hour weekends at the riding school where I kept her to pay her keep! I know she's my responsibility and I don't expect my parents to pay for her :)

As for the riding school thing, I know she would be suitable as she has been a riding school horse in the past! :) That was how I met her! Tbh I wouldn't want her returning to that situation anyway, the horses were all very well treated but she doesn't need to be doing that amount of work a day any more. And she has always been good to hack for me, I think she's just rebelling against the lack of consistent work :)

I'd love her to be a companion, it's just finding someone willing to take on a horse at the moment!

Bloody hell. That's a bit harsh isn't it?

OP, good luck :)

^^^^^^
Agree. Only 14yrs!!!! OP, if you cannot find someone to take her on loan, have you thought of companionship, with or without view to ride whenever they want, if you state she can be knappy if not worked regularly.

Whatever you decide to do Good Luck.
