Doesnt care what colour stuff I buy for my horse? :p

I was surprised by the 'gingers' thread how many of you have just one or two specific colours for your horse.

It is something i have never really considered with Chico - i tend to buy what he needs in what ever colour is the cheapest! Which may be how he ended up with bright pink brushing boots as they were the only colour in the sale, lol! :D

Some of you will have kittens to hear that up until last week i rode him in a havana bridle and black saddle  - and i ony swapped to a black bridle as he outgrow his lovely havana one :(

I think i need some tuition on matchy matchy for when we start competing later this year ;):D

Anyone else a bit colour blind like me :):)

With rugs, I don't really care what colour they are and would buy any colour in a sale!! Although I may have to stop myself on pale pink! Saying that I do have an absolutely hideous light beige lw t/o from weatherbeeta that was dirt cheap, well it is a perfect dirt colour!!
I try to stick to sensible ie navy colours for shows and travelling.
He is piebald and although he probably should have black tack, mine is all dark brown as I think brown saddles wear better, and I like brown for showing!

Rugs and bandages i could care less, but for competions my roan has brown tack with boots and a halfpad that matches and my chesnut wears the same. looks very very smart!

This for me too... apart from the boots as we show so bare legs...

I never used to care, but owning your own tack shop soon means matchy matchy EVERYTHING

Ari (grey) has black synthetic tack, black sheepskin numnah, black and grey boots.

FB (bay) has black synthetic tack, white sheepskin half pad and everything in navy or navy and gold except his tendon boots whch are black.

Sometmes I go a step too far and ride Ari in black jodhs and grey hoody to match...

it does to go towards the cheapest stuff, however i will not put pink on FH, not because i am against it but on him it brings out the pink in his coat and makes him look more gay!

:D That's oldschool. No way you can show yourselve on a horse without machting clothes/pad/bandage/blanket.
Everything needs to be clean and look like it came right out of the store and you can't wear the same outfit the next day so you need at least 10 different sets.

lol! Should i admit to not cleaning tack either :p:D (well i do clean tack.....about once every 6 months)

he currently rides in - black bridle (no noseband), black synthetic saddle, white blue and red nuumed numnah, brown boots. And my riding hat has a hi-viz band on it :)

I'm with you, PMP (I do admit to cleaning tack a bit more often than that:p) But generally when times are tough, the gg has the basics of food, shelter, grazing, vet bills, shoes, well-fitting tack and huge hugs. If anything matches, it's a bloody miracle!

I couldn't care less what colour rugs he has, our barn is full of multicoloured rugs and headcollars :P the only thing I do want is black tack, I dint mind saddle pads or bandages ect but black saddle and bridle, although invought a baby blue bridle for fun rides and endurance :D
